We have decided to stop the development of our database abstraction class, patDbc.

Due to the lack of time for the proper development of patDbc, we no longer develop the tool. We encourage you to switch to one of the alternative solutions, which already offer support of more databases and have extended functionality.

We are currently switching our tools to <em>PEAR::DB</em>, so if you use our tools, this is probably the best way to go. However, if you do not want to use that database class, there are other alternatives like <em>AdoDB</em> or <em>PEAR:MDB</em> (if you want higher abstraction), but we preferred the pear::db functionality and ease of use.
